Indie Lisboa - Lisbon Independent Film Festival - From 18 to 28 April
Lisbon's most successful film festival (in visitor numbers) is a filmathon of indie flicks lasting for over a week every spring. Its aim is to discover new films and directors, and there is a prize for best short and long feature. Screenings include shorts, documentaries and long features. 

OUT JAZZ - May to September
The OUT JAZZ continues to mark the evenings of the capital, from May to September and Friday and Sunday, with its unique recipe of cool magic, joy and inspiration to celebrate good music. The best musicians and DJ's leads to the good vibe squares, streets, gardens, green spaces, charismatic sights, hotels, museums, and lift stations train. 


Lisbon Street Festival - Festas e Marchas dos Santos Populares - June
Lisbon's oldest neighborhoods revive their tradition of outdoor grilling (pork and sardines) and beer-drinking every year on the night of June 12, just before Saint Anthony's Day. 
The celebration also honors other "popular saints," with the highlight being a colorful parade down Avenida da Liberdade, with every Lisbon neighborhood represented in costume and song, competing for "best march."  With many concerts, parties and special events on the streets and squares of Lisbon. You can listen to Fado inside Trams, eat Sardines on the streets, listen to jazz in the viewing points... June is the best month to visit Lisbon.

Optimus Alive - Summer music festival - 12, 13 & 14 OF JULY
West of Belém is the district of Algés where every year a number of national and international music acts are invited to a summer festival. 
Bands this year, Green Day, Depeche Mode, The Editors, Kings Of Leon and many more.





Super Bock Super Rock - Summer music festival - 18, 19 & 20 OF JULY

Rock and pop acts take the stage at this annual summer music festival that's traditionally been held by the Vasco da Gama Bridge but also taken place south of the city by the beach of Meco. 
This year, Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Queens Of The Stone Age and many more.



Jazz em Agosto - Jazz Festival at the Gulbenkian Foundation - August

World-acclaimed musicians and new talents in contemporary jazz get together at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation every August. 
It's for a jazz festival that started in 1984 and is still one of the city's main cultural attractions in the summer, lasting for several days.
